SEPTEMBER – Happy Labor Day!

Sundays Sept 2 & Sept 16 – CCSL Community Vision Craft. 11:30am -12:30pm. Come play with us at our progressive craft parties leading up to our upcoming 10th Anniversary Family Fun Unplugged in September. Come design your own custom vision grid, which will be displayed collectively as our “vision of a world that works for everyone, one person at a time, starting with me.” We will be turning trash into the treasures of the universe as we create 3D shapes which by nature promote focus, balance, and harmony. Free fun for everyone- kids, families, and adults!

Friday, September 7 – Mystic Café Presents First Friday Open Mic – 7-9pm at the Center. $5 cover charge. Here’s your chance! Tell a story or read a poem, sing a song or juggle plates – you’ll never find a safer, kinder place to experiment with your own creativity! Come early to make sure you are on the signup sheet. Sweet treats available; artisans show their wares as well.

September 8 – A Manly Event—Going to the Gilead.  9am-4pm (Men only event) at Mt Gilead State Park, Shelter #3.  Join Dana Horton, Minister-in-training, for a great day learning Spiritual Practices.  $20 fee (for facility rental and food).  Breakfast and Lunch will be served.  Sign up at the Information Table.  Learn more …

Sunday, September 9 – Good to Great Meeting from noon – 2pm. To follow up on July’s meeting, the Leadership and CORE Councils, Practitioners and Stewardship Committee will meet for a larger discussion of the 30-page booklet by Jim Collins. Lunch will be served.

Thursday, September 13 – “Connecting in Oneness” monthly business breakfast.  Join Kristen Peairs, RScP from 7:30am-9am here at the Center.  This is an interfaith breakfast for spiritually inspired business owners and leaders.  Cost: $30. Click here for tickets!

Wednesday, September 19 – Soul Session: Sacred Meditation and Music.  7-8:30 at the Center.  Love Offering. Summer is a great time to get out of the heat and into the heart! This hour and a half can make a difference in your life. Through silence and song with our remarkable Artists in Residence, Lisa and Erika, we deepen our relationship with heart and soul and set the course for a brilliant month

Friday, September 21 – The Storytelling Summit!  Here’s the scoop: Join us at the Center from 7-9 pm to hear real life stories from participants in Erika Luckett’s Storytelling Workshop. $5 admission – refreshments available for purchase.

Sunday, September 23 – Church of the Earth Fall Equinox Celebration.  Following our theme of Earth Wisdom, we’ll look at how interconnected trees are with each other and with the forest.  Features the One Voice Choir, service will be followed by our 10th anniversary Family Fun Unplugged!

Sunday, September 23 – Family Fun Unplugged! Bring the kids for an old-fashioned, home-made carnival and picnic. Tell your neighbors too! Lots of games and prizes – Dunk a Dad (or minister!), Go Fish – you name it, there will be all your childhood favorites.

Tuesdays, September 25 – Practitioner II with (by then) Rev. Ami Papadopulo. This is the first term of 3 10-week terms.

Sunday, October 28 – Rev. Norm Bouchard joins us for a community event. He’ll walk us through how to use the Good to Great process to identify our Mission and lay down the path for achieving it. Everyone is invited for this inspiring event with one of CSL’s most highly successful ministers! A special, catered lunch will be available at 11:45am, and the workshop will start at 1pm.

October 27 – 28 – Circle of Love! Atlanta, GA.  Join our fabulous musicians at this amazing retreat among the trees and ziplines! Lisa Ferraro and Erika Luckett hosting, with Joel and Carisa providing ecstatic dance!
